🔁 Variations
If you’re unable to find russet potatoes or want to experiment with another type I’d recommend using Yukon Gold for their creamy texture and buttery flavor. Be sure to slice them a bit thicker since they are much smaller than russets and could burn in the oven otherwise.
Also try adding some freshly grated parmesan cheese on top of the potatoes once they’re done for a rich and nutty garnish that will add lots of depth and umami to the final dish.
If you want your potatoes to have more garlic flavor, mix in around a tablespoon of freshly minced garlic into the melted butter.
Make Your Own Garlic Herb Seasoning
This recipe uses premade garlic & herb seasoning but you can easily make your own at home! Simply combine the following ingredients in a bowl and you’ll have an amazing seasoning that can go on not just these potatoes but tons of other savory dishes!
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
🥣 How to Make
- Slice potatoes on the thin side & place on a baking sheet. The thinner the potatoes, the crispier they will be.
- Coat the potatoes in melted butter, making sure each slice is covered.
- Sprinkle with salt & pepper to your desired taste.
- Sprinkle garlic & herb seasoning onto the potatoes.
- Thoroughly mix then bake for 30 minutes (or until browned) at 400 degrees.
- Serve and enjoy!
