About Me: Hello! My name is Chrysa and I’ve been a thrifty deal/freebie-seeker my whole life. When I was a little kid I remember getting a book with a title similar to “Free Stuff for Kids”.
I spent soooo much time writing to various places to request free things be sent to me. (Obviously this was long before the days of the internet.) I was always so excited to get a package in the mail and kept all my “loot” neatly organized in a metal file box.
Though I no longer keep a file box full of freebies, my passion for finding deals and saving our money to be able to spend it on things that make me happy and make our lives better remains as strong as ever.
And now, with the internet being part of our everyday lives – it opens up a whole new world of opportunities for me to share my money-saving wisdom and much more with all of YOU! From deals to thrifty tips to DIY hacks, I’ve got you covered.
As Thrifty Jinxy has evolved, I’ve taken on a more “whole lifestyle” approach and bring you other ways to easily bring the thrifty into your life so there’s always room for the “spendy” when you want it.

My Trusty Assistant: My husband, Mario, is the tech support behind the operation and also, being the “tech-geek” that he is, he steps in to do reviews of tech products as well as other guy-oriented stuff. Oh, and he helps me with photography too, although I took this picture of him…..
We live in Minneapolis with three cute cats and a big sweetie of a German Shepherd. I also have a pretty amazing now 15-year-old nephew and you’ll see lots of him here on the blog.
