This fun AND easy “We Love You to Pieces” Picture Frame craft is a winner! We made ours as a Father’s Day Gift, but you can make yours for Mother’s Day, a birthday, Christmas, or any occasion.
This DIY gift is so unique and because it features a picture of all the adorable kiddos and will bring a smile to anyone’s face. If it’s for Father’s Day, I’m also sure it will end up with a prime spot on Dad’s desk or nightstand!
This craft only requires a few materials and you can use Canva (which anyone can use with a free trial) or PicMonkey to create and size our image so that it fits perfectly in the frame.
If you prefer, you can skip the whole photo editing part and have your kids draw their message on the post board instead. It’s totally up to you and the kids!

Camera or phone with camera
Blank poster board or bulletin board
Craft puzzle pieces
5 x 7 flat picture frame (or a flat picture frame with a matted area measuring 5×7)
Hot glue
Hot glue gun
Markers, crayons, or paint (for decorating the puzzle pieces)
How to Make Puzzle Piece Picture Frame
1. Take a picture of children holding a blank poster board or bulletin board and save it to your computer or picture file.
2. Go to Picmonkey.com and click to “create new” from “blank canvas.” Scroll down to “print sizes” and select 7×5.
3. Upload the photo and adjust the size to fit the template.
4. Add a text box from the sidebar. Drag the text box to fit over the blank bulletin board. Place your desired text into the text box and change the font, size, and color/s as desired.
5. Change the name of the file to something you will remember and click to download.
6. Navigate to your favorite photo printing service (like Walgreens Photo) and upload the photo to print. Or, use your own printer and print on photo paper.
7. To create the frame: Ask children to decorate the puzzle pieces as desired.
8. Using hot glue, attach the photo pieces to the frame, making sure the frame can stand without balancing on the pieces. Allow to dry completely.
9. Place the photo in the frame and it’s ready to gift.
