As the tradition evolved over the next 300 years, round glass ornaments, or baubles as they were called, were created in Germany. to mimic the shape of the fruits previously used. As the demand increased for these decorations, companies began to use molds, where plastic was used to make a longer-lasting ornament.

Clothespin Christmas Ornament Supplies:
Wooden clothespins
Green Acrylic Paint
Paintbrush
Glue
Pipe Cleaners
Pom Poms
Glitter Stars
Twine or Ribbon
How to make Christmas ornaments made out of wooden clothespins:
Step 1: Twist the clothespins to remove the metal portion.
Step 2: Glue two pieces of the clothespin together. Flat side to flat side. Refer to the photo.
Step 3: Glue two of the clothespins that have been glued together to each other. Glue the flat parts together creating a “V” shape
Step 4: With the flat side facing out, glue two pieces of clothespin on each side.
Step 5: Paint the clothespins and allow them to dry completely.
Step 6: Glue the pipe cleaners onto the trees.
Step 7: Glue a star to the top of the tree.
Step 8: Decorate the tree by gluing colorful mini pom-poms all over it. You could also use sequins, buttons, beads, etc.
Step 9: Turn over and glue twine or ribbon on the back to hang your Clothespin Christmas Tree Ornament on your tree.

- 12 wooden clothespins
- Paint
- Glue

Instructions
- Twist the clothespins to remove the metal portion.
- Glue two pieces of the clothespin together. Flat side to flat side. Refer to the photo.
