Canned tuna and fresh tomatoes combine to make this delicious and healthy appetizer perfect for parties or as a lunch!
Are you a tuna lover? Are you perhaps stuck in a tuna rut? It’s easy to rely on the old standbys of tuna fish sandwiches and casseroles, but there is so much more that can be done with tuna and lots of healthy tuna recipes!
I’m helping out by sharing my Tuna Bruschetta recipe. But first, I wanted to share a bit about Ocean Naturals and why I was happy to find it.
Ocean Naturals is Good, Good for You and Good for the Planet. It means a lot to me that they care about the way their product is made. Their tuna is responsibly-caught which means that of course it’s dophin-safe, but beyond that the tuna comes from healthy sources that harvested in ways that minimize the impact to our delicate ocean ecosystems.
They are very open and label their packages with exactly what type of fish is inside. For example, their light meat tuna, which I use in the recipe below, is 100% Skipjack, unlike some cans of tuna that contain a combination of species – some of which may be more endangered than others.
They are so transparent that you can even visit OceanNaturals.com and enter the code that comes on the bottom of your can to find out who caught the fish and where it came from. I entered the code from the bottom of my can and all the information below was displayed to me. Not only is it valuable information to know, it’s also just pretty darn cool!!
Now that you know about Ocean Naturals, it’s time for me to share MY Tuna Bruschetta recipe! I like that it uses fresh, simple ingredients and is packed with nutrition. I hope you enjoy.
