Calling all The Nightmare Before Christmas fans!! It’s fun and easy to decorate sugar cookies with white frosting and black cookie icing to make Jack Skellington Cookies. See how!
When it comes to classic Halloween movies, The Nightmare Before Christmas is right up there at the top of the list!
If you have fans of this Tim Burton classic in your house, you are definitely going to want to make these cute and fun Jack Skellington Cookies!
To make them, you can either start with store bought plain sugar cookies, or you can make your own with our easy sugar cookie recipe.
If you use that recipe, rather than forming the cookie dough into balls and flattening them, you’ll instead want to roll out the dough, cut with a round cookie cutter, and bake.
Black Cookie IcingVanilla Frosting
Other than the sugar cookies, the only two other things you need are white frosting and black icing. You can either buy black cookie icing that comes in a pouch or bottle that already has the writing tip attached.
If you’re a frequent decorator and have a piping bag and decorator tips, go ahead and use that.
For the frosting we used a can of vanilla cake frosting, but again – feel free to use your favorite homemade white icing recipe. This homemade vanilla buttercream frosting recipe is DELICIOUS and would taste great on these Nightmare Before Christmas cookies.
