This easy buttercream frosting recipe uses only 5 ingredients and takes 5 minutes to make. The vanilla icing is perfect for cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more.
I am crazy about frosting In my opinion it’s the frosting that can make or break a good cake or cupcake.
I used to love eating frosting right out of the can, but now that I have been making homemade frosting, there is no comparison with how yummy it is compared to the pre-made stuff.
The good thing is that it really isn’t hard to make and it’s difficult to screw up the recipe. Even if your proportions are off a bit, it still tastes good!
Of course you can flavor this frosting a bit with different extracts (almond, mint, etc) if you like and you can also add in some food coloring to add a little pizzazz to your baked goods.
Whatever you decide to do with it, this is one that you’ll probably add to your go-to list of recipes. It’s on mine! It’s definitely the best buttercream frosting recipe ever!
