Bat Bottle Cap Magnet Craft

This cute Bottle Cap Bat Magnet Craft is fun and easy to make for Halloween! It’s the perfect semi-spooky craft project for kids or adults!

To help everyone get into the  HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION (coming to theaters THIS Friday, July 13th) we have a super fun Bat Bottle Cap Magnet craft! Some of our favorite Hotel Transylvania characters – Dracula, Mavis and Vlad can all turn into bats (a very good way to be sneaky) and so we thought it would be great to represent them with these adorable magnets.

Making the bat magnets is simple and we have a list of everything you need below. We also have a printable template to make the bat wings – so don’t worry about how you’ll get the wings to look like that – all you have to do is print and trace!

We started with black bottle caps, which you can purchase online or in a craft store. But, if you prefer, you can start with any bottle cap (just make sure they aren’t dented from opening) and paint with black craft paint.

Hotel Transylvania 3 Bat Bottle Cap Magnet Craft

Supplies:
Black Bottle Caps
Black Cardstock
Scissors
Glue
Wiggle Eyes or Metal Eyes
Magnets
White Paint Marker

How to Make Bottle Cap Bats:

Print this bat wing template.
Cut out the wings and trace onto black card stock.

Cut wings out of card stock.

Glue magnet to back of bottle cap.

Glue wings on the edges of each side of the magnet.

Glue eyes to front of bottle cap. (If using metal eyes, trim off the edge.)
Cut small triangles from black card stock. Glue on back of bottle cap.

Draw fangs using white paint marker.
Display on your fridge or any metal surface!

In Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, join our favorite monster family as they embark on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship so Drac can take a summer vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the hotel. It’s smooth sailing for Drac’s Pack as the monsters indulge in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer, from monster volleyball to exotic excursions, and catching up on their moon tans.
