Apple Cranberry Brie en Croute Recipe
Ingredients Needed:
(See recipe card below for amounts and complete instructions.)
- round brie – make sure it’s chilled
- puff pastry – two sheets – one is for decorations)
- apple, cored and chopped
- chopped pecans
- dried cranberries – i.e. Craisins
- cinnamon
- honey
- egg
How to make Apple Cranberry Brie en Croute:
1. Refrigerate the brie overnight.
2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. As the oven preheats, mix together the apple, pecan, cranberries, cinnamon, and honey.
4. Slice the chilled brie in half horizontally and place the bottom of the brie in the center of the puff pastry with the cut side up.
5. Spread half of the fruit mixture over the cut side of the brie on the puff pastry. Place the other half of the brie on top, so that the cut side is in the middle and the rind side is up.
6. Top the brie with the remaining fruit mixture.
7. Fold the edges of the puff pastry up over the top of the brie, pleating it as you work around the sides.
8. Place the brie on the baking sheet.
9. Beat together the egg and water. Brush the brie with the egg wash.
10. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until the brie en croute is browned.
11. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Ingredients
- 1 12 ounces round brie, chilled
- 2 sheets puff pastry one sheet for decorations
- 1 apple cored and chopped
- ¼ cup chopped pecans

- ½ teaspoon cinnamon

- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
