Make a delicious dinner in minutes with this Pressure Cooker Ground Beef Goulash Recipe with canned tomatoes, pasta and ground beef for your Instant Pot.
It’s time to start a new year with new recipes! First up is this Italian Style Pressure Cooker Ground Beef Goulash Recipe.
I always start the year with lots of plans to cook more of our meals from scratch and that plan always succeeds much better when I have easy (and delicious) recipes to carry me through!
While the pressure cooker has been around for decades, the introduction of the Instant Pot has made this cooking style really catch on and made it a lot easier to get real, home-cooked meals on the dinner table, even on busy weeknights!
Goulash was always a family favorite when I was growing up. It doesn’t need any fancy ingredients, is fairly inexpensive (especially if you stock up on that ground beef when it’s on sale) and it’s a hearty, delicious comfort food!
If you put ground beef, a tomato base and pasta together in any dish, it is sure to be a favorite with my husband. In this particular recipe, we go for an Italian twist using garlic and Italian seasoning.
What makes this meal even better is that leftovers can be stored in resealable containers he can take to work the next day or, if we have enough left over, it can make a second dinner.

Looks relish, can I use fresh tomatoes instead of canned. Perfect for cool fall evenings!
Jean says
Burn message would be due to a lack of water If you’re adding pasta directly to the pot you need water too Not enough liquid in the tomatoes to cook that much pasta

I’m making the beef goulash and I followed the directions. I set my Instant pot to high pressure for 10 minutes but it got so far and the burn message came up. Do you know why?
Chrysa says
Yikes! I’m not sure why that would have happened, Nancy!

Mom & dad gave me a 6 qt Bella pressure cooker for christmas today and I’m a little lost on how to use it. She said I can do the turkey breast in the fridge in it and I’m not finding any instructions. Your goulash looks awesome and easy so maybe I’ll start w that recipe. I saved the link on my phone :). Thanks!!

Good luck! It can be a little scary using it at first. I started by just making one of the recipes that came with the book with mine so I could get used to how it worked before trying something else.

Would you believe I have a pressure cooker sitting in its original, unopened, box for two years now?! I really ought to open it and use it – this recipe looks AMAZING!
Chrysa says
That sounds like me!! Mine sat forever until I finally decided to use it.

Your ground pressure cooker stew looks like a great dish for the cold season. I can see how it would go well with couscous too or maybe even faro.
