Whether you’re planning a Moana birthday party or a special movie night, this Moana-inspired healthy fruit dip recipe will be the perfect healthy treat!
Have you seen Disney’s Moana yet? If not, it is still playing in theaters everywhere! For us in cold climates, it’s extra fun to head to the theater to escape the snow and freezing temperatures and spend a couple of hours enjoying the tropical escape.
To continue that tropical escape at home, I have created this Moana Inspired Healthy Fruit Dip Recipe that both you AND your kids are sure to love.
It’s made with non-fat Greek yogurt and served with fresh fruit, making a super healthy AND delicious snack. Serve it with a fruit plate shaped like a shining sun to chase away the dreary winter.
This tasty dip tastes awesome on any type of fruit. (It actually tastes great all by itself OR with fruit chunks mixed in!) It’s super easy to make.
Healthy Fruit Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
- non-fat Greek yogurt
- packed brown sugar
- honey
How to Make Your Moana Fruit Dip:
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Cover and chill until ready to use.
To serve the dip, I placed it in a small bowl with a diameter just smaller than the pineapple. I used a small custard cup, which was just the right size.
Then I just slipped it into the pineapple as a natural-looking holder. To make the fun sunshine fruit plate, I peeled the oranges and separated them into sections.
To make the sun, I used an oversized dinner plate. Starting on the rim, I lined up the orange slices all facing the same direction.
I then piled banana slices in the center of the plate.
To finish it up, I filled in the space leftover with pineapple chunks.
