Turn your little one into a leprechaun with this easy-to-make Leprechaun Photo Magnet St. Patrick’s Day Craft!
You don’t need the Luck o’ the Irish to make this adorable Leprechaun Craft for, because it is SO easy to do! So easy, in fact, that it is a fun St. Patrick’s Day craft for kids to make themselves.
You can turn a photo of your child into a little leprechaun complete with a beard and wide brimmed hat. With a magnet on the back, you can attach it to your fridge to add a bit of St. Pat’s decor to your kitchen.
Since we know how much grandparents love photos of the grandkids, it makes a great homemade St. Patrick’s Day gift idea for Grandma or Grandpa.
You only need a few supplies to make this craft – basically craft foam, craft felt, a magnet strip – and your own photo of course! All of these supplies can be found at your local craft store, but I have also included links in the supply list below so you can find them online.
Supplies Needed
Green (2 shades) & Black craft foam
Orange craft felt
Scissors
Glue
Printed photo
Magnet strip
How to Make
You will need two shades of green craft foam, dark for the hat and a lighter one for the base of the
photo magnet. Or choose a different color for the base.
Start by cutting a hat shape from the dark green craft foam and a strip of black for the “belt” of the hat.
Glue the pieces together.
Cut hair and a beard from the orange craft felt. Now, size the photo to the base of the magnet and other
pieces you cut out. The face of the photo should fit just under the hair and beard.
Glue all the pieces in place. Allow to dry. Glue or use self adhesive magnet on the back.
Hang on your refrigerator or give as a gift and get ready to see a big smile on the recipient’s face!
