Marshmallow Turkey Pops are fun to make for Thanksgiving! Kids love to help create (and eat) these sweet and colorful Thanksgiving treats.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Literally! It’s almost like we blinked and the year was almost over.
These simple marshmallow turkey pops are so easy and fun to make that the kids will want to help out.
They’re a sweet way to add a little more color to your Thanksgiving table! There are a few ways to do that.
If you want a flock of marshmallow turkeys as a centerpiece, fill a short glass vase or drinking glass with Red Hot candies. Then arrange all your turkey pops into your own turkey bouquet.
You can also use them as party favors and stick one into a place card at each guest’s seat at the dining table.
Another option is to place each one in a cellophane bag and tie with a colorful ribbon to let your guests take home with them.
The ingredients are very simple to make these Thanksgiving candy treats. You basically need marshmallows, colored sugar, chocolate and candy. We used orange Sweet Tart heart candy for the beaks, BUT if you can’t find those you can easily use orange Starburst and just cut out a small piece for each turkey.

How to make Marshmallow Turkey Pops
Pour each color of sugar onto a plate. Fill a small bowl with water.
Take a toothpick and insert into a mini marshmallow. (This is just to be able to handle the marshmallow with ease).
Dip in water and tap on edge of bowl to get excess water off. Dip into colored sugar.
Use your finger and slide the marshmallow off onto parchment paper.
Continue to do this until you have all your mini marshmallows colored. Set them aside and allow them to dry.
While those are drying, take your cake pop sticks and insert them towards the back underside of the large marshmallows. Set aside.
Pour chocolate discs in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue to do this until the chocolate is melted.
Dip your large marshmallow in the melted chocolate until it’s all coated. Tap on the edge of bowl to remove excess chocolate.
v
Immediately put on the eyes, nose, and wattle.
While those are hardening you can start making your “feathers”.
Take a toothpick and slide on a yellow marshmallow about ½ way down, then an orange and lastly a red. Continue to do this until you have all your feathers made.
When everything is dry and/or hardened, take 3 feather toothpicks and insert on top back of the marshmallow.
They are ready to be gobbled up!
Enjoy using your marshmallow turkey pops as party favors or centerpieces for gatherings this season!
