It’s easy to make edible playdough with this simple recipe using only four basic food ingredients. It’s a fun and safe way to play!
This weekend, I saw Kate making edible playdough on “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and just had to try it myself! It’s a simple recipe using only four basic food ingredients.
Kate didn’t tell her kids it was edible and let them find out for themselves…I just hope they don’t start wondering if other things they play with (paint, crayons, etc.) might also be edible!
Edible Playdough Recipe
Ingredients:
Equal Parts:
Powdered Milk
Smooth Peanut Butter
Honey
(Flour as needed)
How to make edible playdough:
Mix the first 3 ingredients together and then add enough flour until it reaches playdough consistency.
If you want your edible playdoh to be more fun, you can add food coloring (make sure it is well mixed so that it doesn’t stain little fingers!)
I personally think this dough tastes yummy!

I will be making this for my 2 & 4 year old granddaughters and have no worries of toxins. Thank you.

At the risk of giving myself away as the worste mother ever I have to say…
peanut butter can be subsituted with chocolate icing (I sprinkle in wheat germ to push back the guilt)

I always wondered if it would encourage kids to eat other stuff, too. Hmmm…

I’ve made this before but lost the recipe. I am SO making this for my kiddos next time I need them occupied for awhile.
