And then, speaking of ingredients, you are able to make some slight changes to make the recipe suit your taste or meet particularly dietary wants or needs.
One thing I like to do with recipes is lighten them up! That can easily be done with this recipe.
To make a lighter version of this easy Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe, simply replace the regular mayonnaise with light mayonnaise and the sour cream with fat free Greek yogurt.

Easy Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe
Ingredients Needed:

- Mayonnaise (or light mayonnaise)
- Sour Cream (or fat free Greek yogurt)
- Buttermilk
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Crumbled Blue Cheese
- Salt and Pepper
How to Make Blue Cheese Dressing:
Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk and worcestershire in a bowl. Mix well.
Add in blue cheese.
Salt and Pepper to taste.

Making Blue Cheese Dressing without Buttermilk:
If you don’t have buttermilk available or you forget it on your shopping run, it’s easy to make your own buttermilk. All you need is regular milk and either lemon juice or vinegar.
How to Use Leftover Blue Cheese Dressing:
Of course the most common use for blue cheese dressing is to top a salad, but if you extra there are so many other options. It makes a great dipping sauce for anything from veggies to chicken wings. Use it in a sandwich as a more flavorful substitute for mayo. Or use it in potato salad or pasta salad.
How to Store Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing:
Your blue cheese salad dressing should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Use within two weeks.
Blue Cheese Dressing Additions:
Adding a squirt of lemon juice to your blue cheese dressing is optional. In can add a small burst of fresh flavor to the dressing but, again, is completely optional.
If you like a very chunky blue cheese dressing, you can add in even more crumbled blue cheese. For a more creamy dressing, you can process in a food process to incorporate and smooth out the cheese.
