Beef and Blue Cheese Sliders Recipe
It's almost time for the Super Bowl!! Have you made plans yet for what you'll be munching on during the big game? For me the food (and the commercials) are the BEST part of Super Bowl Sunday, followed closely by the half-time show.
Can you tell I'm not a big football fan? But, I DO watch the Super Bowl every year and have a great time planning the day whether it's just us watching alone or we invite friends and family to make it a real celebration.
For some delicious and easy Super Bowl foods, we can turn to the George Foreman Grill. The awesome All-American Beef & Blue Cheese Sliders recipe below takes only 3 minutes on the grill. It makes it super easy to prepare a bunch of patties ahead of time and cook them as they are wanted during the game.
All-American Beef and Blue Cheese Sliders Recipe
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
- 2 tablespoons green onion ( minced)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
- 8 small leaves of curly-lead green lettuce
- 8 slider buns or dinner rolls
How to make blue cheese sliders:
- In a large bowl, mix together the blue cheese, onion, salt, pepper and oil. Add ground beef and lightly mix; do not over mix.
- Divide the ground beef mixture into 8 equal portions and form into ½ -inch thick patties.
- Place the patties on a preheated George Foreman grill and cook for 3 minutes, or until desired doneness.
- Assemble each slider by placing 1 leaf of lettuce on the bottom half of each roll. Place a cooked beef patty onto the lettuce. Top each patty with the remaining half of the roll.
