Mario attended an advanced screening of TheOdd Life Of Timothy Green during BlogHer in NYC last week. Here is his review from a “guys point of view”:
Marley & Me, My Dog Skip, The Champ, and now The Odd life of Timothy Green. A short list of movies I will only see once, not because they were poorly made but because they did such a great job at tugging at my heart strings. I can only use “There’s something in my eye” so many times.
It’s a movie about a boy who makes such a profound impression upon everyone in his realm that needs a miracle to succeed. He inspires strength, honesty, love, humor and imagination to all he graces with his presence.
The movie has solid performances from Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton, David Morse, and Dianne Wiest. They provided a very nice foundation for CJ Adams in his first true big movie. As expected CJ was a gem! That kid had me laughing, cringing and lamenting the life of a child. Humor in the movie kept it lively and moving along at a good pace. CJ had very nice chemistry with Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton, but I felt he really shined when working with senior cast members like M. Emmet Walshand adolescent members like OdeyaRush who, by they way, had a very nice showing in this flick.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green is one of those movies you have to see once. If you like tear jerkers then you should see this movie twice. A must see.
THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN opens in theaters everywhere on Wednesday, August 15th!
