Spring Butterfly Cupcakes Recipe

Spring is here!  Whether you’re having an Easter brunch, a springtime get-together or a classroom party, this cute spring butterfly cupcakes recipe can definitely add a touch of spring and sunshine!  The cake itself is made with a box cake, but feel free to substitute your favorite cupcake recipe.

The only part of the butterfly that is a bit tricky to always find is the edible Easter grass that we use for the antennae. We have links below to find all of the supplies you need. If necessary you can substitute any thin green candy that you then cut into tiny strips.

These are adorable! What a great one to have the kids help decorate and then eat! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Oh my!! So cute!! Where do you find edible Easter grass? I was thinking that shredded coconut might work, or possibly some of those sour green straws.

    • You can find it in the cake decorating section of a craft store, from Target.com in the link above (or in some Target stores), but any green candy would work if cut in a small piece.

  3. That’s a realy cute idea! And it doesn’t look super hard to do!

  4. What a super cute idea. And they look like something I could totally do!
