Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I want to be spending more time OUTSIDE. But no matter how much time we spend outdoors, we eventually come back inside again and it’s always nicer to come back to a clean house.
A deep spring cleaning is a great way to give the house a thorough once-over to get rid of the dirt and grime that has built up over the long winter months.
I always find that it is easier to keep a house clean once it has gotten REALLY good and clean. That means less time down the road stuck inside cleaning!
The first item on the “to do” list or spring cleaning is to get your supplies ready. First take a look at what you currently have on hand to see what’s missing and make yourself a list.
Make sure your cleaner bottles are full and, if not, add them to the shopping list or make some more if you like to make your own DIY cleaners.
Then you need need the tools for cleaning, like rubber gloves, a scrub brush and paper towels. I’m a fan of Viva® Vantage® Towels. They have awesome stretchy-strength so you can get down and scrub.
They even stay tough when they’re wet so they resist ripping and tearing. They are the brand I had in my house BEFORE I was asked to write this post!
Now it’s time to get down to cleaning! I know when taking on a big project like this I often feel overwhelmed. By starting with a checklist that walks you through your house room by room, the job is broken down in much easier to handle sections!
Plus, a checklist might even remind you of things that you would have forgotten to clean. You can grab our handy dandy Printable Spring Cleaning Checklist here.
Now that you have your Spring Cleaning Checklist printed out, you can find all the supplies you need at your local Walmart. While you’re picking up Viva in the paper products aisle, you can grab Cottonelle® and Scott® products.
Now that your house is nice and clean, you’ll want to invite guests over, which means stocking the kitchen and the bathroom! Walmart has great deals on Viva, Scott and Cottonelle.
What part of spring cleaning do you plan to tackle first?

It’s good ot have a list. It keeps you on task better than if you don’t have one. 🙂

Definitely the windows. I’ve got kid hand and nose prints all over from my kids pressing against them wondering when spring is going to come!

It’s that time of year again, isn’t it? I have a list of things I’d like to do in my home to get it ready for the changing season. But there are a couple of spots I would have missed without your list.
