This delicious chocolate popcorn is easy to make and the perfect snack for a SING movie night!

Good news!! SING Special Edition is now available in stores on DVD and Blu-ray! We are super excited to be able to watch it at home and that special occasion calls for planning a SING Family Movie night! Since my personal favorite character in the movie is Ash, the teen porcupine rocker, I decided to create an Ash Chocolate Popcorn Recipe as our movie night snack.

We love Ash’s spunk and her strong opinions on what she likes and doesn’t like and what she is willing to do to make her dreams come true. Plus she is crazy talented!
We had a blast watching SING again because it is super funny AND heart-warming. Plus it's full of so many great toe-tapping songs. We had fun singing and dancing along with the movie and generally being silly. As you can see, we grabbed basically anything we could find to use as microphones!

Haven’t seen SING yet? Here are the details:
From Illumination Entertainment, the studio that brought you THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS comes an animated comedy about finding the music that lives inside all of us.
SING stars Matthew McConaughey as Buster Moon, an eternally optimistic koala who puts on the world's greatest singing competition to save his crumbling theater; winner Reese Witherspoon as Rosita, an overworked and underappreciated mother of 25 piglets desperate to unleash her inner diva; Scarlett Johansson as Ash, a punk rock porcupine with a beautiful voice behind her prickly exterior; and Taron Egerton as Johnny, a young gangster gorilla looking to break free of his family's felonies.
And did I mention the BONUS MATERIAL on the DVD and Blu-ry?? It includes more than 60-minutes of bonus content including three all-new mini movies featuring the cast from SING, along with an exclusive Tori Kelly music video, character profiles, The Best of Gunter and more musical extras.
Ash Chocolate Popcorn Recipe

Ingredients:
½ cup popcorn kernels
2 tablespoon mini chocolate chips
½ tsp. kosher salt
Optional: non-stick cooking spray

Directions:
Using an air popper, pop corn into a large bowl. As popcorn pops, sprinkle chocolate chips over it while allowing the hot air from the popper to continue to blow and melt the chips. Sprinkle with salt. Stir until chocolate is melted and popcorn is coated. Note: To reduce chocolate/popcorn sticking to bowl, spray with cooking spray. (I prefer to use olive oil from a Misto sprayer.)

To make this treat extra fun, we made Ash Popcorn Treat Bags. You can print them out HERE. We placed one inside a cello treat bag, filled with popcorn and then tied with a strip of plaid fabric that reminded me of Ash’s skirt.

SING is the musical comedy event of the year!
