We have seen the trailer for DreamWork’s The Penguins of Madagascar many times and were excited that it was finally in theaters this weekend! The film features those lovable penguins and this time Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private are immersed in the world of international espionage. They team up with the super secret spy organization, the North Wind, led by Agent Classified (well – not his real name, but his name is top secret!) to stop the tricky villain Dr. Octavius Brine who has been plotting his revenge against all penguins of the world and the people who love their adorable cuteness.
We headed out for a Sunday afternoon viewing today and The Penguins of Madagascar was just as fun as we expected it would be. I’ll let the kid himself give you his review first:
So, the movie definitely got a thumbs up from a kid perspective, but I also give it a thumbs up from the adult side. I loved hearing constant giggles coming from the seat beside me and I had more than a few laughs myself. The penguins create some exciting adventure along with a good dose of humor. As a grown-up, I appreciated the clever mentions of some of our favorite move stars from the 80s and 90s – all of which was totally unnoticeable to the 6-year-old next to me!
Special Offer: For a limited time, you can get a FREE movie download of DREAMWORKS HOLIDAY CLASSICS on iTunes when you buy Penguins of Madagascar tickets through Fandango. This is a super fun download – a great bonus!
