I have tried to make homemade McGriddle sandwiches all my life but could never quite replicate the yumminess of the ones you can get from fast food places until now.
McDonald’s McGriddle recipe is one of my family’s favorites whether it be a sausage McGriddle or Bacon McGriddle. The jury is still out on which is best 🙂

Now, I just can’t stand it any longer! I just have to share this McDonald’s Copycat secret with you!
The secret that makes a McGriddle taste like, well, a McGriddle – is to inject that maple syrup right INTO the pancake!
You can do this by using a food syringe (or flavor injector) and just squeezing that syrup in.
Keep reading to the recipe below to get the details on how to put this sandwich together and get that yummy maple taste infused throughout.
One other note is that we used sausage patties for our recipe, but you can make them with bacon instead. Just use one or two bacon strips in place of the sausage.
Easy McGriddle Recipe – McDonald’s Copycat
Yield: 4 sandwiches
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes
Ingredients needed:

Pancake mix
Syrup
Sausage patties
Eggs
American cheese
Salt and pepper
How to make a McGriddle at home:
1. Combine pancake mix with 1 cup of water until mixed completely. Place mason jar lid ring in skillet, bottom side down (open side of ring down), spray with oil and set heat to medium.
2. Once medium heat is achieved, pour pancake batter in ring to halfway. Once bubbles start to form in ring (60 seconds), remove the ring using tongs. Flip pancake to cook on other side (60 seconds. Remove pancake. Repeat step 7 times or cook as many pancakes as you have room for.
3. Using a kitchen syringe, medical syringe or flavor injector, inject syrup into pancakes once cooled. This step will mimic the flavor of a McGriddle pancake with our burning the syrup while cooking the pancake.
4. Cook the sausage patties on medium heat for 3 minutes on each side. Remove and top with cheese slices.
5. Scramble eggs one eggs with a pinch of pepper. Cook on medium heat in skillet. Pour egg into skillet allowing it to fill the whole skillet. After 30 seconds, fold egg twice into itself. Then fold in half to fit sandwich.
6. Assemble egg, sausage and cheese between two McGriddle pancakes and serve.

Can these be frozen and reheated in microwave or Toaster oven?

Ours have always been gone right away, but you can definitely reheat them! I recommended warming a bit in the microwave and then putting in the toaster oven just to crisp up the edges of the pancake (but only microwaving works too).
