These Easy Wonton Cups make a delicious and easy party appetizer with the help of wonton wrappers and a muffin pan.
When looking for a simple to make (but still delicious) party appetizer or game day snack, these Easy Wonton Cups are at the top of the list!
We are already fans of Tyson Boneless Any’tizer Wyngz, so I was excited to have the opportunity to try two brand new flavors before they were even in stores! They are the Sweet Garlic Glazed and Mango Habanero flavors and will soon be available at Walmart.
While the Tyson Any’tizer Wyngz are great “as is” for a meal or snack, I wanted to get a little bit creative and develop some recipes featuring these new flavors.
My first creation was for the Sweet Garlic Glazed Wyngz. I had cooked just one piece all by itself so that I could be inspired by the flavor and I thought it would definitely be delicious combined with Asian flavors. So, I came up with these Wonton Cups.
EASY WONTON CUPS APPETIZER RECIPE
Ingredients:
Tyson Sweet Garlic Glazed Boneless Any’tizer Wyngz
1 ½ tablespoon rice vinegar (or white vinegar)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon white sugar
dash of salt and pepper
3 cups bagged cole slaw mix
12 wonton wrappers (find them in the produce section)
cooking spray
2 green onions (green portion only), sliced
How to make a Wonton Cups appetizer:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium sized bowl. Mix together olive oil, vinegar, sugar, and salt and pepper. Stir in cole slaw mix until well blended. Coat 12 muffin tins with cooking spray. Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin tin, lining the sides. Put a heaping tablespoon of cole slaw mix in each cup. Place one piece of Tyson Sweet Garlic Glazed Boneless Any’tizer Wyngz on each cup. Bake 15-18 minutes, or until chicken is starting to brown. Remove from oven, sprinkle with sliced green onions. Enjoy!
These turned out to be really delicious! They were perfect for dinner, but I’m really anxious to have a party because they will make such impressive-looking appetizers!
I then turned to the Mango Habanero Tyson Any’tizer Wyngz. These have a spicy kick, so I thought a creamy and cool dip would be the perfect compliment. I ended up with this Creamy Avocado Dipping Sauce.
Avocado Dipping Sauce Ingredients:
2 avocados
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
½ cup sour cream
How to Make Avocado Dipping Sauce:
Remove avocados from skin and chop in chunks. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until creamy. Serve with Mango Habanero Tyson Any’tizer Wyngz and enjoy!
With Cinco de Mayo coming up soon, these will make an awesome party food!
