This Shrimp Fettuccine Carbonara Casserole is rich, delicious and easy to make for family dinner or a romantic date night.
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Food Lion. All opinions are 100% mine.
I used to do the grocery shopping alone. One day my husband asked if he could come along. I said of course! He wanted to contribute his input for our meals for the upcoming week.
As we are striving to be healthy, working together is a brilliant decision. It took him a few trips to get used to the way I shop because a lot of prep goes into my shopping trips. I meal plan, look for coupons, choose the best store and then head out to shop.
A few weeks ago, he commented how long this process took. I had to agree. He said we should shop smarter, not harder. I discovered my local Food Lion could make our shopping experience easier and save us money with their app, which is available as the Food Lion Mobile App – iTunes and the Food Lion Mobile App – Google Play. It takes the stress out of our weekly grocery shopping by helping us “Save More- More Easily.”
I could not believe all the features the Food Lion Mobile App offers! I was able to create a shopping list based on their weekly ads, coupons, and recipes.
With a tap on my smartphone, I have their weekly ad at my fingertips. If I see something on sale I want to load onto my card, I tap the button. If I see an item I need or want I tap the “Add To List” button and it loads onto my shopping list.
When we walked into the store, there was a kiosk near the doors. You scan your MVP card on your phone. You will get a print out of several sale items that can be loaded onto your card. It also offers a recipe idea and if any ingredients you need are on sale, they will show up on the print out. It was an easy piece of technology to use, and made my shopping experience more fun!
I can also search for and load coupons onto my MVP card. Instead of fumbling for a card on my keychain, I have my MVP card on my smartphone screen and can scan my phone at checkout. I was never one to clip coupons, but with their digital coupons, they make it a snap, – er I mean – a tap! Now, I love to be a “couponer!”
I wanted to make a healthy meal for my family, but I had no idea what to make. The Food Lion Recipe Finder offered easy to make meal ideas. You can search for specific recipes or you can plug in your ingredients and search for recipes that include them. On the mobile app, I saw frozen cooked shrimp was on sale, so I searched for a recipe based on that and a Shrimp Fettuccine recipe popped up.
I already had a few items at home, so I unchecked those from my MVP shopping list. I saw Food Lion had bacon on sale And knowing that my family loves bacon, I decided to make a Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine Carbonara. I love that Food Lion makes my shopping trip easy, fresh and affordable. That means a lot to me. They don’t have to raise their prices in order to consistently carry high standards. That also means a lot to my family and me.
