We have been a multiple cat household for a long time and probably always will be. While we started out with just one cat, when it came time to add to the fur family, we added two brothers. Jinxy (the namesake of our site) and his brother Peanut were littermates who came to our house as soon as they were old enough to leave their mother.
They were quite the duo and spent most of their time together, often taking naps while laying in exact mirror images of each other's body positions. They always had someone to play with and keep each other safe from our mean older cat.

Ever since we saw the great bond those two brothers had, we have decided that we will always be adopting kitten pairs and that is just what we did a bit over a year ago with our two youngest cats Cleo and Sam. This brother sister team are very similar to the original duo in that they love to hang out and snuggle together.
It’s comforting to know they always have a buddy, even if we’re not home. They go together perfectly just like the partnership between Fresh Step® and the power of Febreze™.
As all cat owners know, litter box odors are something you don’t want to fool around with! That’s why I was anxious to try Fresh Step® with the power of Febreze™, which doesn't just mask the odors, but eliminates them. It has 10-day odor control for even the strongest litter box odors, and leaves behind a fresh clean scent. It also locks in liquid and odor, making it easier to scoop. Easier clean-up is always a bonus!

The other thing I like is that it has a new lower dust formula. It means no more dusty cat footprints leading up the basement steps. I want everything from the litter box to STAY in the litter box. My cats have been loving the new litter (they checked it out immediately when I filled the litter box) and I have been enjoying the odor-free air.

I use litter box powder in and under the liner/in my liter box and keep the litter box in a hall closet that they can get in/out to try and cover up my cat’s litter box odors.

I have used the Arm & Hammer litter powder, which seems to work well. I’ll try anything to try to cut back on the scent of cat litter though, so I’d be willing to give FreshStep a try!

I have tried almost everything to cover up litter box odor. I have 3 cats and 4 litter boxes, so even when I scoop daily, it still stinks a bit. I use powered litter box deodorizers, plug ins and sprays.

It drives me nuts when the cat comes into the room and stinks it up when I’m in there trying to do something. Hopefully the febreeze will make her “duty” less offensive. ha ha
