- 1 ¼ cup butter softened
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 ½ cups flour sifted
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- ½ cup chocolate chips melted
Heat oven to 375°F.
Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add flour and cocoa. Mix well.
Shape dough into two 9-inch rolls. Roll in chopped pecans.
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 4 hours or until firm.
Cut each roll into ⅓ inch thick slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Drizzle melted chocolate on tops of cooled cookies. (I put the melted chocolate in a zip-top baggie and cut off the corner to make this easier.)
