Easy and Delicious Baked Apples from the Microwave
Baked apples are a classic fall treat! This shortcut method is a delicious and quick way to make them in the microwave.

- 1 apple
- 1 tsp raisins
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp butter softened
- sprinkle of cinnamon
To start, remove the core using an apple corer or paring knife. Peel away about 1/2" of the top of the apple peel
In a small bowl, mix together the butter, sugar and raisins.
Pack filling into the center of the apple and then sprinkle the apple with cinnamon.
Place apple in a microwave-safe bowl. Pour 1/2 cup water gently into the bowl.
Cover bowl with a lid or plastic wrap, leaving a little space or steam to escape.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes or until apple is soft.
Place apple on a clean bowl or plate and spoon some of the cooking juices over the top.
Serve warm.
