Air Fryer Frito Pie

This Air Fryer Frito Pie recipe combines warm chili, melted cheese, and crunchy corn chips for an easy comfort food meal ready in minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 cups homemade chili or 2 cans (15 oz) of store-bought chili
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 8 oz Fritos corn chips
  • Additional toppings: sour cream, diced onion, salsa

Instructions

  • Add the chili to a pan that fits your air fryer. Spread the chili across the entire pan.
  • Sprinkle ½ cup of cheese on top of the chili. Cook in the air fryer at 400°f for 6 minutes.
  • Remove and add the Fritos across the entire dish.
  • Cook for 6 more minutes until Fritos are slightly browned. Remove and serve topped with cheese, onions, sour cream, or salsa.

Notes

  • Choose an air fryer safe pan that leaves space around the edges so air can circulate.
  • If using canned chili, stir it before adding to the pan so it heats evenly!
  • Don’t add the Fritos at the beginning, or they may get too soft.
  • Add toppings after cooking so they stay fresh and cool.
  • Serve immediately so the chips stay crunchy!
