- 3 cups dried pinto or kidney beans soaked overnight OR 4 cans of pinto or kidney beans, rinsed
- 1 cup grilled Smithfield® Extra Tender Fresh Pork Ribs
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and black pepper
Grill your Smithfield Extra Tender Fresh Pork Ribs according to directions. Baste with your favorite BBQ sauce. Set aside 1 cup for your recipe.
In your slow cooker add soaked or canned beans and rib meat.
In a bowl, combine water, BBQ sauce, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Add mixture to beans in slow cooker and mix well.
Cook on low for 2-3 hours.
