Ingredients

  • 3 cups dried pinto or kidney beans soaked overnight OR 4 cans of pinto or kidney beans, rinsed
  • 1 cup grilled Smithfield® Extra Tender Fresh Pork Ribs
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and black pepper

Instructions

  • Grill your Smithfield Extra Tender Fresh Pork Ribs according to directions. Baste with your favorite BBQ sauce. Set aside 1 cup for your recipe.
  • In your slow cooker add soaked or canned beans and rib meat.
  • In a bowl, combine water, BBQ sauce, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Add mixture to beans in slow cooker and mix well.
  • Cook on low for 2-3 hours.
