These S’mores Cupcakes are super easy to make! Enjoy your favorite campfire treat INDOORS and you don’t even need any frosting!
We love these cupcakes because they’re not only amazingly delicious, but they’re also super easy to make.
It actually took me a bunch of tries to get these right. See some of my notes at the bottom before trying to experiment with the recipe!
Super Easy S’mores Cupcakes Recipe
Ingredients:
One chocolate cake mix (I like Dark Chocolate)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Large Marshmallows
Graham Crackers
How to make S’mores Cupcakes:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Add in the chocolate chips.
Fill cupcake tins with cupcake papers. Fill each one with a heaping soup spoon of batter. Set a marshmallow on top of the batter.
Break the graham cracker along its dotted lines. Then break each of those pieces in half to make a small square. Place one square on each side of the marshmallow.
Bake 18-20 minutes or until marshmallow is nicely toasted.
Notes:
- If you use a longer piece of graham cracker, it will end up being burnt.
- If you prefer your graham crackers “raw” and not toasted at all, you can stick them into the cupcakes as soon as they come out of the oven.
- If you cook directly in the cupcake pan without using liners the marshmallows end up melting rather than toasting up and keeping their form.
- Don’t overfill the cups!

I like how lightly toasted the marshmallows look in that photo. Almost thought they weren’t marshmallows at first because I couldn’t imagine baking them without them melting!
