Today I did something that I hadn't even realized was possible to do. I bought a pre-order box of Men in Black 3. This purchase lets me register online to receive an early digital copy of the movie on Vudu.com, and have a hard Blu-Ray/DVD copy mailed to me a couple days before the movie’s official release date. How cool is that?!?
I missed this movie in the theater and was bummed about it because I loved the first two Men in Black movies. So, I'm extra-excited that I'll get to see the movie online EARLY! Did you see it in the theater? If not, this is what we both missed….but can see soon:
To start out, I went to Walmart to buy the gift set. You can see my whole trip in my Google+ story here.
Once I got home, I headed to my computer to open the package and get started. Inside I found a cardboard disc with simple step-by-step instructions. (Well, actually there are only three steps!) First I just had to go to VUDU.com to redeem my code.
It was super easy – – I just typed in the card from my package into the box on the screen. Then the next page asked for my address so they can ship me my Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack as soon as it's available.
While my movie won't be available to watch online until November 16th, I did get access to special bonus content – “Keeping it Surreal: The Visual FX of MIB3”, which tells you all about the many visual effects seen in Men in Black 3.
Right now, VUDU is offering a special promotion to get 1 FREE movie just for signing up and creating an Ultra Violet account (which lets you store your movies online). This is something you can do even if you haven't purchased a movie package in the store. It's totally free and there are no commitments…..so what are you waiting for?

So excited about the MIB3 release. Somehow we didn’t get to go see it in the theaters, so it’ll be the perfect date night movie.

That’s so cool – I didn’t know that was available but I’ll definitely be buying movies that way in the future!
