I had a fun project this weekend. I went to Sam's Club to purchase supplies to make up Goodnight Girlfriend Goodie Bags. The centerpiece of the bags was Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Wipes, but more about those later.
I headed to Sam's Club with the plan to make gift bags with a “good night” theme. I was searching for items perfect to get ready for bed and have a nice cozy and relaxing evening. My sister has been SUPER busy with work lately and a bit stressed out so I thought she could use it. My mom has been helping her out a lot during this busy time by watching my nephew, so I knew she would enjoy a special surprise too.
How to Make Girlfriend Goodie Bags
To start I figured I should look for the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes since these are the first step in the evening to remove makeup from the day and get ready for bed. They were pretty easy to find, but I was a little confused at first because I saw two different kinds of boxes. It turned out they were just updating the packaging. If you haven't tried Neutrogena makeup wipes before, they are ultra-soft cloths with a patented formula that dissolves all traces of makeup without the need to use any water. They even remove waterproof mascara!
I then moved on to find the other items to complete the gift bags. I wanted them to feel cozy and snuggly so I found these awesome fuzzy socks! I stayed away from the funky colors and got the more basic black and white shades – they're more calming I think.
My family all loves to read and we all read before bed to unwind, so I had to get some reading material for the bags. I wasn't sure what books they already have, so I opted for magazines instead. They both love to cook and especially to try out new recipes, so I opted for a Food Network Magazine and a Martha Stewart Living Magazine.
Last, but certainly not least, I had to find a bedtime snack! This was a little bit of a harder choice. I decided I wanted to go with something a bit decadent that would be a real treat. I finally chose Pillsbury Brownies. (I tried some of these myself and they are delicious!)
I got all the goodies home and prepared to make the bags. I am a bit of a gift bag hoarder, so I already had lots of bags to choose from – I just had to assemble them and then wait to deliver.
I gave the bag to my sister last night after a fun evening of dinner and a movie. She LOVED it! I didn't know that she already loves the Neturogena make up remover wipes. She said that she keeps a package next to her bed for those nights when she just falls in to bed dead tired, but doesn't want to fall asleep with her makeup still on. She thinks they are the best eye makeup remover. Her current package of wipes is almost gone, so she was really happy about the timing!
