I'm thinking a much better option than braving the shopping crowds on Black Friday would be to have aThe Secret Life Of Pets viewing party at home!! To make it extra fun, we have some pet-themed treats for you AND your dog and a fun craft to treat your cat. (I don't know about you, but my cats are finicky and would much rather have a comfy bed than a treat that I try to make for them! Here we go:
For the humans, we have a yummy Dog Bone Bread Sticks recipe. They are fun and easy to make using canned breadstick dough. (They're really tasty too!
As a REAL dog treat for your dog, we have this Sweet Potato Dog Treat recipe that you make right in the microwave. But, actually, this treat is totally human approved, so if you like sweet potatoes you might want to sneak a few of your dog's treats.
And for the cat, you can make this DIY Cozy Kitty Nap Box as a comfy place for them to sit and relax while watching the movie. We all know how much cats love to crawl into boxes and this craft makes a much prettier addition to the room than a plain old cardboard box.
About the film:
In their fifth fully animated feature-film collaboration, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures present The Secret Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead when we leave for work or school. Max, voiced by Louis C.K., is a loyal terrier living a perfectly happy existence until his owner, Katie (Ellie Kemper) brings home Duke (Eric Stonestreet) a big, boisterous mutt she finds at the shelter. When Max and his unruly new “roommate” slip away from their dog-walker, they find themselves lost in the urban jungle of New York City. In an attempt to stay ahead of animal control and a rebel band of abandoned pets led by an unhinged bunny named Snowball (Kevin Hart), they put aside their differences to survive the epic journey back home.
