Whip up a batch of these easy whole wheat waffles in the morning or double the recipe and freeze the extras to pop in the toaster for a quick breakfast on busy mornings.
We love waffles for breakfast, but whole wheat waffles are a more wholesome option that taste delicious. They’re surprisingly easy to make too.

Love waffles, but they always feel heavy to me. And they almost always give me a quick “indigestion” as they’re going down. (Weird, eh?)
So, I used coconut oil instead of the listed options. Holy cow! They are light…even delicate…and no indigestion.
I also used pink Himalayan salt, and NO sugar and NO vanilla.
Absolutely to die for.

I love this recipe b/c it uses oil instead of butter, and also the whole wheat! This is a good one for making in advance, like you noted, to be able to pop in the toaster, and also for other uses – ice cream treats, sandwiches, even as a snack!!! Great post!
