This Crockpot Seasoned Oyster Crackers Recipe is perfect for party time, snack time or any time! It’s very easy to make in a crockpot or slow cooker.
I love snack crackers, snack mixes, Chex mix – you name it! They are perfect for little munchies at a party or just for an afternoon snack or evening of movie watching.
For this Crockpot Seasoned Oyster Crackers Recipe I took a version of classic Chex Mix seasoning and used it on oyster crackers, but made the whole thing in the Crockpot, which is more forgiving of mistakes and forgetting to stir than if you make it in the oven!
I did a little searching around for oyster cracker recipes online and found that almost all of them used oil.
I much prefer the flavor of butter over that of oil, so that’s what is used in this recipe.
The recipe calls for seasoning salt, which you can buy at the store, or if you like you can use our Make Your Own Seasoning Salt Lawry’s Copycat Recipe.
While I like the “classic” taste of this specific oyster cracker seasoning, feel free to play around and experiment with other flavors.
You can use a packet of ranch seasoning mix in place of the seasonings in this recipe or you can even try a packet of taco seasoning to make your own version of Tex-Mex Oyster Crackers.

Crockpot Seasoned Oyster Crackers Recipe
Ingredients:
1 bag of Oyster Crackers
1/4 cup butter
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp seasoning salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
How to Make Seasoned Oyster Crackers in the Crockpot:
Melt the butter in the Crockpot. Rather than doing this I usually just put the crock in the microwave, but you can turn your Crockpot on and wait for the butter to melt on its own.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce and seasonings and mix well.
Add in crackers and toss to coat.
Cover and cook on low for 1 hour (I stirred once halfway through, but it’s probably not necessary.)
Uncover and cook an additional hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
Remove from Crockpot and spread on a baking sheet to cool.
