What kid wouldn’t love a super-cool spy-gadgety wrist watch phone all of their own?? With the GizmoPal, that’s what they get and parents and caregivers get piece of mind.
Child safety is always a concern. There are times when the kids are away from their adults and that leaves room for worry. It’s not always an option or a great idea to send a child, especially a young one, off with a cell phone.
That’s why the GizmoPal is a great option. It lets your child call you and you can call your child and track the GizmoPal’s location via GPS.
I admit I was a bit skeptical when we agreed to try the GizmoPal. Little R is very picky about what he thinks is cool and what he thinks is babyish.
When I saw the original design I thought there was NO WAY he would ever wear it. But then I found out that the GizmoPal now comes with a pack of 6 decals to cover the face – with way cooler designs than the original cars and trucks. Score!
So now that we have the “will he wear it?” issue covered, what’s really important is what the GizmoPal can do. It allows your child to call two registered numbers and receive calls from an additional two approved contacts.
It even has an optional auto-answer feature that will answer the phone after a pre-set number of rings if your child doesn’t answer it.
Adults can interact with the GizmoPal using a smartphone app which lets you see, you can see the GizmoPal’s location on a map, via GPS. You can set it up to give you update notifications as specific times too.
The map will give you a detailed address location and, to make things easier, you can assign a name to various addresses – i.e. Grandma’s house, school, etc.
The app also lets you update or change contacts, change the volume and check battery life and more. The app is compatible with smartphones using Android™ 4.0 or higher and iOS 7 or higher.
So far we’re happy with the GizmoPal and it’s doing its job. I can’t stress how happy I am that it’s something that Little R will actually wear. He obviously thinks its pretty cool because he wore it to a birthday party the very first day and he called me several times – basically just to show off to his friends.
While showing off isn’t a good thing, the feeling of security we get from knowing he is wearing his GizmoPal so we can rely on both GPS tracking and the phone capabilities is a very good thing!

There are so many parents skeptical of giving their kids phones, but this seems like a great alternative. It offers the ability to track with GPS and connect with each other in case of emergencies without the expense and commitment of a regular phone.

It’s about time someone made a product so we don’t have to give our cell phones to younger kids. This would have been perfect for us when our girls were younger!
