Budget-Friendly Cooking with Pork – My Interview with Danielle Smith + Enter to Win Prizes!

Summer is here and for many of us this means both cooking on the grill AND summer entertaining.  Did you know that when visiting the meat case pork makes a great budget-friendly option?

Last week I had the opportunity to interview Danielle Smith of www.extraordinarymommy.com.  I learned a LOT about pork that I didn’t know, including why it can be such a good choice for those who are watching a budget.

For example, just last week, the USDA said it is 62% less expensive to buy a New York pork chop than it is to buy a New York beef steak!!  If you have a big family, or are entertaining a large group, those savings can really add up!

And if you need some ideas for how to cook with pork, you can visit PorkBeInspired.com for a big selection of recipes that are all under $10 or less for a family of four!

  1. Right now I love Pulled Pork in the crock pot, or Pork Tenderloin. I’m excited to try some new recipes on the grill this summer though!

  2. I love making grilled pork loin on the grill. Shake on a little seasoning and let the meat do the rest. Easy Peasy and perfect for a nice Spring evening!

  3. We made a pork loin on our Louisiana Pellet Grill last night, so yummy!!

  4. That looks so good! We need to try some pork on the grill to change things up a bit!

  5. I grill with Pork all the time. If done right no one even notices a difference. It can still be just as juicy and full of flavor as beef on the grill.

  6. Oh, I need to try pulled pork in the crockpot! Sounds so easy!

  7. We love baked pork chops
